Purpose of Research

Our main research interest is to objectively measure the involuntary elements in the voice. The voice changes involuntarily due to various diseases. By detecting these changes, we aim to establish a technology to diagnose diseases using voices. Analysis using voice is non-invasive and has the advantage of being simple and remote without the need for any special equipment. Therefore, the burden on patients is greatly reduced, and the social and economic benefits are also expected.

Subjects of Reseach

・Development of voice biomarkers (stress, depression, dementia, Parkinson's disease, etc.)
・Validation of voice biomarkers (mid- to long-term monitoring)
・Application of voice biomarkers (mental care in disaster medical field, driving ability assessment, etc.)

Summary

Establishing non-invasive technology to diagnose diseases using voice
