Purpose of Research

Exosomes, which are naturally released from all somatic cells, are attracting worldwide attention as nanomaterials that transmit information to distant target cells. We believe that by thoroughly investigating the properties of exosomes, we can contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases including cancer, as well as to a healthy longevity society.

Subjects of Reseach

Elucidation of common physical properties of exosome membranes
Elucidation of the preventive mechanism of killer T-cell exosomes against tumor progression
Understanding the characteristics of senescent cell exosomes to realize a healthy longevity society
Development of liposomes that mimic exosome membranes

Summary

Effective nanomedicine comes from understanding natural nanomaterials
